Introduction
Ahahahaa, this is the last blog post for 2008 so I am here publishing the last update. Well many things happened this year. Let me summarize my life in year 2008.
This year was more onto studies instead of serious gaming etc.
I met a few friends this year, shared experience and overcame some of my fear.
I sat for my PMR Exam and I got 4A 2B and 1C. Never cared about them ~_~ whatever it is.
I got a new computer too. My old one is really drop dead slow, only have like 1.75GHz *Cough*who can survive with it now?*Cough*
I got this computer which the specs are :
- Phenom X3
- ASUS M3A78-EM Motherboard
- CoolerMaster Extreme Power Plus 500W <strike>with lots of wires.</strike>
- Western Digital 640GB SATA Hard Disk
- LG SATA Optical Drive
- Aeolus Deep Cool Ice Tower CPU Cooler.
- Some stupid casing…..
*cough*planned of changing it*cough*
Graphic Card
Ok… Actually my computer now have no graphic card. I am using the integrated one which is an ATI HD 3200. That is bad, because I can’t even set everything to the max while playing Warcraft III. Before this I was using the nVidia 7300GT. I gave it to my mama because she was suffering with her bad graphics and lagness. My integrated one isn’t that bad so I can bear with it.
There was this little deal by my uncle, if I helped his wife fix the computer with complete drivers for webcam, etc etc etc, he would give me this graphic card. The Sapphire Ultimate 512MB GDDR4 PCI-E. Here is some pictures for the Sapphire Ultimate 512MB GDDR4 PCI-E.
*Psssst!!! That heat sink block is big!!!*
It looks great!! After I heard from my brother that Peh’s graphic card was roasted, and I mean roasted by too much heat, I was happy that this graphic card has heat pipes and a BIG heat sink.
Well anyway I would have to wait till May 2009 to get my itchy hands on this sexy. My uncle bought one which is the same for me actually, and he’s CrossFire X-ing now.
CPU Coolers
Well when I was aware of my motherboard heat, I wanted to get a Zalman CNPS9700 LED or the new Zalman CNPS9900 LED. Sadly they are only available in KL.
I asked my uncle for help, for he is a techie, a pure techie. He called me to attach something to directly blow the wind from a fan straight to the processor stock fan. I tried. Cut a Pringles Potato Chips’ can to this heigh, and mount it.
Of course I found another way to fix this. I quickly stole my sister’s fan extension from her desktop which is motherboard dead.
I then took out my new hardware tool box for mounting the fan. I did and it was a great success!
Impressively, It can even extend more!
Of course it failed because my motherboard is somewhere above my case fan so…. it never blew directly to the stock fan but instead blowing back all the heat to the motherboard and also increasing the stock fan’s RPM and causing lots of noise.
FAIL
Then I moved on, my uncle again recommended me to buy the Arctic Cooling Freezer Xtreme <strike>which looks ugly and resembles like an XBOX360</strike> but also available only in KL. Thus, GOD DAMN YOU ETIKA FOR SUPPLYING ONLY AND NOT FOR SALE!!!!!!
The cooler is big, so said that it will cool not only the CPU, but also the power supply unit and also the graphic card.
Lulz, the Arctic Cooling Looks like this :
Hmm pretty big eh. I never thought that my case can fit it in, because the current Aeolus Deep Cool Ice Tower barely fitted in, because one of the heat pipes is touching my power supply unit’s fan grill.
But, be reminded that it is not available in Ipoh. I moved on to Yik Foong for my search. I found out that Sniper sells CoolerMaster CPU Coolers. It was indeed fascinating. So I moved on to continue my search because CoolerMaster is too small, and some without fan.
There is this shop beside the shop I bought my computer at, which sells the Aeolus Deep Cool Ice Tower. It is big, like my brother said, bigger means more places can conduct heat to it and blow out all at once.
Actually it only cost me $149.
First of all the downfall is to change the retention. We already got a big headache just knowing we had to do it.
After a hard time getting my M3A78-EM Motherboard out, I was happy that we can finally mount it in.
Those things were poking me.
Lol finally done. One of the heat pipes are touching my power supply unit’s fan grill. Just fitted between the lines of grill.
BIG!!!!
It reads Deep Cool.
We also revamped the wires so that it isn't blocking the beautiful view from my transparent side panel.
Lol it is big I know. Anyway lets more on to the other post.
Phenom X3 Enthusiast!
I was wondering if anyone have any Phenom X3 wallpaper. I love the AMD Phenom X3 so much that I can feel love in it.
Anyway here are some wallpapers that I downloaded and added the Phenom X3 logo via Photoshop. Note that these are not from me.
Also I would like to share the sticker!!!
Beauty!
Anyway to move on,
80 colorful wallpaper! Found at Lowyat!

Last but no least,
My Photoshop creation collection of 2008
Lol, I had lots of fun making them and also learning how to make them and in the process I learnt few things about Photoshop like the Drop Shadow layer style with global lighting so that all layers with shadow have the best shadow image.
Anyway, I made this ice-cream today for my brother =D I made it Kitteh Cream because he loves Kitteh so much.
Lulz. These are all made by me, but the guides are from Photoshop Tutorial.
Here is also a word dedicated for him.
Caturday ;
On every Saturday, you post cats for lulz.
Well anyway I guess this concludes the happenings all over the year of 2008.
