Photoshopping 101

For the past like 2 days, I found something to Photoshop, which is the AMD Dragon platform mascot, the Dragon of course.

While I was photoshopping, I thought about printing it and pasting to my transparent file that I carry along with it at school.

So here’s what happened during the process.

mistake 1

Mistake number 1. Collage is not always pleasant.

mistake 2

Mistake number 2. Arranging could be a problem with SD monitors like I do.

mistake 3

Mistake number 3, the most headache one of all. After finally arranging you are unhappy with the results/placing.

Oh man for hours I’ve been doing this just to have some perfection.

Actually I did another big mistake that is saving it in a SD resolution so I had to patch up all again which took me like 30 minutes.

But all those time sure are worth it. Here I would share my AMD Dragon inspired by AMD for all my fellow readers! =D

Stuffs happening + mom’s cable management

Well I’ll start off with the stuffs happening first.

I found out that my mom have bad cable management so I took a box and do some magic there. But then something struck me deeply; my table’s space. It’s like jail here.

P1011577

Oh the space… Where are you?

So there’s again, needing to do some magic here to my table.

P1011757

That separator thing is from my other box. It is quite short so… imperfection is expected.

P1011761

Finished!

This was rater a simple and fast project. So it took me like half an hour to cut, stick, plotting the position, touching up and patching.

Well the intention of this box it for;

P1011763

Yeah holding up my stuff for easy access.

P1011765

Filled with stuff.

Besides this, I also discovered that my motherboard has some kind of problems with this version of Kingston’s 4GB flashdrives.

P1011767

OKAY!!! Time for my mom’s cable management!!

P1011768

Tools of the day.

P1011771

The place to stick the box to. I know it’s a little weird but that’s my plan.

P1011776

After. Don’t ask for the process because its hell.

P1011784

Side view. I think it did a great work holding all the cables here and also with the great box size.

Before I end this post, which is lame; I wish to share this picture that I compiled all the computer part brands into a big one.

Events of my live… Again…

I wish I can rant all my cold and hard feelings out. It feels like blocking my way of advancement. Anyway here’s my mom holding BIG aloe plant leaf… I think

P1011560

WHOA!!

 P1011561

Look how thick and juicy it is lol. There’s actually a lot more and much fatter than this at my house.

P1011558

Everyone loves surprises, but not when they actually have to go through the surprise by eating it, or maybe touching that thing lol.

Out of curiosity, I took out my Phenom X3 sticker and applied it to my scientific calculator.

P1011565

Dang, my precious sticker.

P1011566

Before this I already sticked my motherboard’s sticker there…

P1011567 P1011571

Before                                             After

Heart was struck with a sharp needle after sticking this. Anyway though, I never regret since I can admire my AMD Phenom X3 anywhere I go haha.

After that I tried sticking a car shade to the fan as a fan dust filter. I followed pekies idea from Lowyat. This is how I did it…

P1011585

Car shade, for those who don’t know what I’m talking about. (I don’t know what this thing is called actually =P)

P1011590

Washed due to dirt and dried with my friendly USB fan.

After drying,

P1011599

Measuring…

P1011601

Takes like 1/4 of the whole car shade.

P1011602

CUT!!!

P1011609

After sticking, this is how it looks like. Still looks great…

P1011612

Back view.

The point of doing this is to change this high quality 120mm fan to my mom’s VGA cooling system. Her fan was loud and she couldn’t sleep properly due to the noise… and there was lots of dust…

P1011614

Oh noz…

P1011616

After cleaning and mounting the 120mm fan. Looks new…

Well now what I have to do is wait and see the result of this baby if it works. My cousin was on a conversation with me today and he showed me this.

Anyway before I end this post, I FOUND DEAD PIXELS ON MY DIGITAL CAMERA!!! I found out because when I was touching up my sister’s photo.

dead pixel

First dead pixel, which is around the mid-upper left side.

dead pixel 2

Second dead pixel, situated around the lower left side…

Actually there’s lots more dead pixels… Damn I need a new one.

Photoshop disasters

All these pictures are taken out from PhotoshopDisasters, please read and laugh.

Share your laughter, since these mistakes are really moronic.2341260913_99452c5f57

Behold the power of slimming medicine with a little bit of Photoshop to ruin it all. What happens if this was real???

Power Supply - Sleeving

Hehehe… As some users buy power supplies (PSU) lower than or equal to 500W, the cables are mostly NOT sleeved. So that is one of my incident too. I am using a 500W PSU from Cooler Master, the Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 500W…

I ordered the sleeving materials last Friday, and they said it’ll be delivered on Monday morning. I predicted that it’ll reach on Wednesday, but no. It reached on Tuesday morning!

P1011349

Seriously express post.

P1011353

Wow?

It is also stated that only Zone A can receive the items next day after delivery. Luckily, my post code is included in the Zone A…

P1011368

Lol!

Alright, cut the crap already. Here’s the stuffs I ordered.

P1011386

Molex removal tool, 24pin extension sleeved, black colored sleeving and heat shrinkable tubes.

Before I move on, here is a picture of my power supply before sleeving process.

P1011388

I don’t have any clearer pictures >.<

Today’s project! PSU sleeving! I actually reserved a day all to myself to sleeve the PSU.

P1011395

My PSU, permanent marker pen, Molex removal tool, black sleeving and heat shrinkable tubes, cellophane tape and my tool box.

P1011396

The sleeving process isn’t really hard also. The trick is relax. Label all the wires and it’ll be fine.

When I first sleeve, I chose the one with 3 Molex connectors and 1 FDD power connector, which is actually the hardest of all.

P1011398

Oh… The reason I taped all because there’s some wing on the Molex pins. If you don’t tape it, it’ll pull your sleeving along and ruin everything.

P1011399

After the hard work and also 2 hours of my day, I finally sleeved the 3 Molex and 1 FDD connector cables~ Time to shrink the tubes!

P1011400

I would say shrinking the tubes are the fun part. Just grab a hair dryer, then switch it on the heat and speed to the max and BLOW!!! Beware of the heat! I roasted 2 of my 10 fingers.

After nearly spending my whole day, I finally finished sleeving all SATA power connectors and Molex power connectors.

P1011405

Happy weh!

Well the one I had the MOST problem with is the most annoying 4 pin motherboard power connectors and the 6 pin graphic card power connectors. Oh man it took me 4 hours just to sleeve those.

P1011407

…… Removing the 6 pin motherboard connector. I followed how the online guides show. Poke it like this and use God’s Strength and pull it out.

P1011408

I was going to give up. Looking back, what I’ve done is seriously not some effort to lose. Go on… Fight! Ended up sleeving the 4 pin motherboard power connectors first.

P1011411

Finally I sleeved both 4 pin motherboard power connectors!

P1011412

Second trouble maker… The 6 pin graphic card power connector. Still unsleeved.

Oh damn I finished all these when it was 11pm that night.

When I continued the other day to sleeve the remaining, 6 pin graphic card power connector. I did the same on 4 of the connectors, poking with staple bullets and pull out with God’s Strength. The other 2 pins were hard as hell!

I did it by poking both staple bullets together with the smallest Jeweler’s screwdriver I have with major strength.

P1011432

I finally did it. I removed all.

The side effect wasn’t really bad anyway. I just got a little cut.

P1011430

Should I even post this?

After shrinking all the tubes, I was happy for the results I obtained.

P1011434

Hohoho!! Behold!!!

P1011439

Took me 2 days to complete this.

P1011445

These 3 things had served me well that day. Luckily there wasn’t any defects on the equipments I used.

Here’s also a bonus for my cable management lol~

P1011452 P1011447

Finally its possible for my cable management to look great.

Overall I was really happy about the result and the cut on my thumb was really worth it. Also my second-hand value for my PSU has increased. Lol~

Till next time!!!
