Boredom in me.

Yes, boredom. Tests are coming again (when will they ever stop) and boredom somehow is truce with the test. I’m getting lamed by exams and boredom –_-

Seriously I need new tunes in my playlist.

Well anyway here’s what boredom did to me.

I benchmarked Sandisk Cruzer pendrive.

Before I show the next one, remember the part where I said I’m a global moderator of HardwareBistro? That is actually quite a busy job, thanks to the spammers.

 

Spammers. Finally they ended with the first few post approval rule.

I even played facebook flash games –_- The frustration is that I lost when I’m right in front of the checkpoint.

That wasn’t good.

Then I even took a test where it shows your multitasking abilities while driving.

I think that it’s an evaluation of my ability?

That was lame –_-

Anyway that’s all for now. I’m rotting here studying for the exams.

SteelSeries 5Hv2 – Review!

Finally. I tested the SteelSeries 5Hv2 out and typing this review now. So now we shall see the package it arrived it. Before that I would like to thank HardwareBistro (forum here) and the members! Actually I never posted here in the blog is that I’m a global moderator there.

Putting that aside, it’s time for the review! I got the package and I was like WHOA!! The size was surprising. It’s very big.

 

Very big indeed.

Opening the package is a pain in the underbelly. My boss sealed it so hard, that it took me at least 5 minutes to open it up.

Well actually I suspect that my boss re-used the box. A true environment saviour. How did I found out? The box has stickers with the word GALAXY on it. Even the logo is the Galaxy graphic cards.

Then here comes the real thing. The box is actually very big.

We’ll leave this beast aside first. Let’s go on to the accessories included.

The audio and microphone jack with an extension. All connectors are gold plated and wires wrapped in cotton cloth. I never expected any microphone in this headest

For some reason, I am attracted to the color. It is available in black and white but I got the white one. Looks rather attractive.

I would say wearing this for style is nice, but for weather like here in Malaysia is not pleasant. It makes you sweat a lot.

Here comes the time of the performance!

To be true actually, this headset has a default settings of high treble and near-inaudible bass, typical gaming audio hardware. But the 5Hv2 can boost a lot of bass in, making it an audio headset more than a gaming-only headset.

Well the first part of the test is Call of Duty : World At War.

The audio from this thing is superb! It is a 5.1 headset and I can hear bombs and gunshots from all directions very clearly.

For the second part of the review, I tried something else. I boosted the bass of this headset on my phone, a Sony Ericsson W610i with the Walkman’s famous MegaBass.

What can I say, after it was boosted with bass, the audio it produces is magnificent! Very clear and heavy bass with high treble. It is very successful.

But then there was a problem. I told my mom that sometimes we can wear this out to the streets, but she replied that it looks like you’re wearing 2 eggs on your ears.

Maybe I have to agree with that.

My brother now resembles this guy, Shinji from Evangelion anime.

For the conclusion, this headset is superb! Design is simple yet nice and attractive. Performance is rather variable with the bass and treble. The connectors are gold plated and wires wrapped in cotton cloth. Before getting anymore happier, this beast comes with a price. It costs RM240 for a new one and RM200 for a used one (Thanks to my friends for the price). If you do have that budget for a gaming/audio headset, the SteelSeries 5Hv2 is recommended. Luckily I got this for free :D

Overlording II

Yes, Overlord II is on my list now. I’m playing it actually. Might look very childish game but actually it’s nice. Here’s a couple of shots in-game.

This isn’t a real show off, just some updates of cool stuffs happening around.

Firstly I won the SteelSeries 5Hv2 from HardwareBistro! I’m seriously surprised by the headphone. I’ll leave that to the next post.

Whole thing is blaaaaaaaaaack. Done by my cousin brother! It’s all thanks to him.

And then there was this… He tried to test the airflow of my top exhaust fan, which he did and also tested my side panel’s airflow…

Mambo Jumbo

Mambo Jumbo – a phrase widely used, referring to all those superstition and spiritual things. There’s this article I read where they say mosquitoes are reincarnation of the dead. I wonder how they got this conclusion, but I can’t stand it. Aerosols and lights doesn’t pwn them anymore. Time to get the secret weapon out.

The everlasting solution – the mosquito red coil thing. I don’t know what’s it called.

It didn’t work but still got to make those mosquitoes all flying around drowsily while I smack their blood out.

 

Even my chair got a chance to roll mosquitoes to hell.

Did a little gardening too, and broke the hoe. My brother did it, because we need to take out the whole aloe plant which is humongous.

There’s this cute little grub inside the pot. Also, there some translucent grubs in there too… Can’t find them inside the picture though.

Then when we went in the house, there’s this large soccer ball on the floor – with a rope handle and also a nozzle. Guess what it is.

 

A soccer ball-shaped… Hair shampoo. Speechless!

Also I started to stress my connection. Too many nice games to play and yet such crappy internet service. Thanks to all the hackers in the world, I managed to pull off some extra connection speed to nearly having a full utilization of my connection speed.

Well that’s all for this lame update. I know its lame, but I need to clear out my desktop.

I got the feeling~

Before this, there’s this post named “Boom Boom Pow”, its a song from the Black Eyed Peas. This is the “feeling” that the Black Eyed Peas feels. Well there were many things happened these few days, like winning the SteelSeries 5Hv2 but I’ll leave that to the next post.

Well, I did try out the WiMAX P1 in my house though, but it failed due to the signal receiving trouble.

The modem is rather small.

It is stated that my area is under coverage and not at the borderline. So, I demand answer why this happening?

Then I also dug up some old stuff, like my bling bling that I got a years back.

Maple Leaf, suppose to be silver colored but then the color came off and became “golden”.

then there was this flash drive from my friend, a Kingston 4GB. As expected, it was burned.

Don’t ask how I split it into two.

There’s also a weird grasshopper at my bathroom door. It’s 5 legged.

I got that boom boom pow~

Yeah, this is an old post about a trip to KL on the 30th of June. My family and I went there for a day along with my sister and her colleague because she’s working lol. Well went there like freakishly early because of my sister’s job starts at 10am. When we reached, we went for a drink and breakfast. Somehow the nearest shop is Station One at Sunway.

Then there’s a stress management toy, I suppose, that my sister has in her handbag. Her handbag has all the stuff. Her phone, stress management, pills, water, wallet,IC, license, w/e.

Stress management toy thing. It’s a kidney. She says its the same size as the real human’s kidney size. Unbelievable.

Then later on went to Sunway Pyramid, walk around and fool around, then went for lunch @ Manhattan Fish Market. Very nice Fish & Chips they have there.

Then my brother ordered some prawn. I think it’s called the Dried Shrimps or something.

Hehe, then after that we went for something very memorable *grins* the Fish Spa! Again it’s about fishes but this fish spa is like a platform where you sit on it and put your legs inside a pond thing. Then fishes will bite your dead skin away.

It felt so itchy at first, but later it feels so relaxing and syok.

Hehe. Feels so high during that time.

Mind my leg. They were tingling when the fishes bit, thus having the water ripples and blur photo reflections.

It was seriously a great experience getting bit by fishes. Well after that we walked around and then we went to the top and have a drink before heading home. We sat beside the window where we can see this long bridge across the Sunway Lagoon.

Imagine if you DO fall down or maybe the bridge was wobbly due to wind.

 

 

Here’s a comparison to the picture. Humans are so small,  yet the bridge is so damn freaking long.
